Speedo island Escape March 2021. It was a good day for a 7.5km Robben Island to Big Bay swim. No wind at all, flat seas, and lots of sun. The only minor blemish was an average sea temp of 12°C. Luckily I only had to watch. South African National Road Race Championship

(Via Cycling SA) Hayley Preen and Marc Pritzen were crowned the 2021 South African National Road Race Champions in Swellendam today. Pritzen claimed the under-23 title in the same race. Preen won the women’s elite road race (133km) in a time of 4:18:06 while Pritzen pipped Willie Smit to the post in a time of 4:51:42 in the men’s elite race (178km). (Via Cycling SA) Ryan Gibbons and Candice Lill claim 2021 Individual Time Trial titles at South African National Road Race Championships in Swellendam On a day not entirely suited to the individual time trial pursuit, Ryan Gibbons (UAE Team Emirates) and Candice Lill (faces.africa) claimed the men’s and women’s National Time Trial titles at the 2021 South African National Road Race and Time Trial Championships in Swellendam.
